Hi there!

I Am Marissa

I have been doing photography, seriously, since I was about 16 years old, meaning I have been doing portraits, seniors, families, etc. for 7 years now! I've written for my high school newspaper and taken photographs at many different events around school since I was in 8th grade and continued at my college. I've absolutely loved having a camera in my hand and "freezing the moment" with an image. I received an official Digital Media Degree, from Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center and from Mineral Area College, in May 2023. I currently use a Canon R6 Mark II, as I have always loved my canons, with typically a 24-70mm lens. My all-time favorite lens is my 70-200 lens, which is perfect for rodeos, sports, and wildlife.

Is there a travel fee with any session/wedding?
A travel fee will be in place after 30miles from Cape Girardeau, MO. If I have to travel over 2 hours a lodging fee will also be in place. 
Does a engagement shoot come with a wedding package?
Unfortunately I do not do a complimentary engagement shoot with my wedding packages
If you're looking at booking BOTH your wedding and engagement photos with me then that is a $200 fee for a 60min engagement session! If you feel that you don't want/need that long of time, you can always pick a different package from my website.  
When is the payment due for my session/wedding?
ALL deposits are due at the time of booking, your date and time is not claimed until a deposit has been sent. This goes for BOTH wedding & regular sessions. 
The rest of the wedding payment is due one month prior to your wedding date! 
For a regular session you can pay either the day before or can pay cash at your session. 

I do not send any photos until I am fully paid :)
Will there be any add-ons with my wedding package?
You can always add on longer times, more items to capture, etc. That all will be discussed up front so the money part is set. My pricing is based off of how long I am there.

The only item I will add is a second shooter. We will get on a call or a long text chain to discuss exactly what you're wanting or expecting before any booking is set in stone. None of the packages currently include a second shooter, but if after our call or while on the call I believe I will need one that will be said up front and the price of one will be added on. 
What if we have to cancel or reschedule?
Rescheduling is easy! We will just pick another date that works, I need to know 24 hours in advance or there is a $25 reschedule fee if I am not told in advance.

If we have to reschedule due to weather, as in; pouring rain, muddy, snow, etc. then there is no fee!! We can't help what mother nature chooses to create.

Canceling is no big deal, you will have to contact me and let me know 24 hours in advance. Please note that your deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE !!
What is the session turnaround time?
For a typical session, it's usually two weeks (14 days) and you'll have your images back. Sometimes sooner sometimes later. I always keep you in the loop with how your session is coming along!

Busy season can be BUSY! Plus I work a part time job that can work me sometimes 35+ hours a week so I try to keep a nice work/life balance.
What if we do not know what to wear?
I'm here to help! I want photos with me to be stress-free for you! I'll send inspiration photos or give you good ideas on where to look for your own inspiration outfits, depending on where our location will be!

I'm working on creating a mood-board/pinterest lineup to send to clients to help with a vision for each session!
