Be still, my heart
This is a little off topic compared to what I'm normally blogging about but I feel like this is an important part of me and my past. As mentioned in the bio portion of my website, when I was in college, I favored still life photography. I found my sweet spot and passion in college with still life. My favorite thing was setting up in the studio, turning on some tunes and trying to make something ordinary look extraordinary. After shooting, I edited into the wee hours of the morning. I spent many sleepless nights working on photography and that's honestly my favorite memories from college. I worked for the printing department so I actually printed and mounted my work myself as well. I took great pride in doing it all from start to finish. I look forward to finding more ways to explore my love of still life and incorporating it into my portrait work.
